Each kidney has a filtering unit which is known as Glomerulus. There are thousands of glomeruli in each kidney. The glomeruli assist the body in eliminating dangerous chemicals. Immune system issues in the body can lead to glomerulonephritis. there is generally loss of protein via kidneys and RBCS can be present in urine. Symptoms include swelling of body, frothy urine or cola coloured urine. Often kidney biopsy is required for diagnosis
